After picking up my first uke in Hawaii in Dec, 2006 I developed a rampant case of UAS. Complications ensued and I soon found myself spending hours upon hours each day pouring over searches for "ukes", 'ukuleles', "ukeleles, vintage ukuleles, etc. on ebay. The disease spread to other four stringed instruments and soon the mailman was not only delivering ukuleles at an alarming rate (just ask my wife), but tenor guitars and banjos started showing up too. I told my wife I was going to fix all the old ukes I was buying and sell them for a profit. Since I've only re-sold a handful of the dozens I've accumulated I don't think she's buying that story anymore. If I'd only spend more time practicing instead of buying I would probably be a whole lot better off (I know my bank account would).
Ah well, I guess it could be worse. I could have gotten interested in the bagpipes...
