Player for > 65 years. My mom took lessons from Cliff Edwards ("Ukulele Ike") when she was a flapper (yessir, one of those!) in New York during the Roaring 20s. She taught me as a kid, and I'm still playing the good ol' songs that Edwards taught her, plus a few newer ones up to about the 1950s. I don't play many songs younger than that - I'm trying to keep the old ones alive.
I'm mainly a strummer, not a picker. I sing, too (some say I sing better than I play). I enjoy performance - usually solo; sometimes with other ukers. I own about a dozen ukes - all four sizes, new and old, beat-up and unmarked. I play each of them daily just for fun.
