Headed by patron and prize-winning author Helen Garner, their 125 members have published over 100 books between them. The members write their own songs and their premier appearance will be at the Brunswick Hotel, Melbourne on 10 December 2006. Co-ordinators of the Ukulele Revolution are children's author Barry Carozzi, and the professional poet Myron Lysenko.
