I have to admit--going to a Uketopia in 2000 changed my life. I bought a uke and learned how to play. The next thing I know, I get my picture in the papers and videos at Ukulele disco; I go on radio shows, hang out with a rock star, and get fan mail from France. If you go to Uketopia, all this can happen to you!*

This month, Jim Beloff is putting on his first Uketopia shows since moving to the east coast. Check the Events Calendar for details. Uketopia is family-friendly. Don't forget to bring your own uke for the strum-along. You DO want to get fan mail from France, don't you?

Gee, we wish this would slide way on down to the south part of the East coast....

Aw, man... I got all excited, but it's on the wrong coast for me. I thought McCabes was gonna see some action again! Have fun, Davis!

Mimi,

How far would we have to slide?

Attention Down-Easters:

Some of us who are in the Uketopia show will be appearing on Portland TV and radio prior to Uketopia.

We have been invited to appear on the 207 show on WCSH channel 6, and Chris Darling's program on WMPG radio.

I don't have all the details yet, but Joel Eckhaus and I will be on the TV show, and I hope that Tripping Lily can make it as well.

The radio show will feature only an appearance by Joel, but Chris will be playing CD's by Uketopia performers.

I will post more when I have the details.
