Looking at BryonT's latest custom, listening to Jake's very nice "My Life" offerings leads me to wondering about the 100 lucky Jake tenor models...
one of us on board here actually has a custom KK coming for a long long time too...
I know that custom KK's are good obvously....
...another prompt to this thread, is from a luthier here who heard Jake plays a Long Scale tenor... is that true???
I'd like to add, that even tho i play a low g, listening to Jake is the best reason I've found for going reentrant. |

I played Jake's Kamaka tenor about three years ago after a show. It was a beautiful instrument. I'm almost positive that it was a standard scale tenor.
He was extremely gracious and even gave me a lesson letting me use his instrument. I remember he did have fairly high tension in the strings, but it range beautifully.
