Help. Is there anyone who know where I can find screws and/or tuning pegs to replace the one on my Wendell Hall TV Concert Ukelele (Regal)? One screw head is stripped and I can't tighten. I'm also looking for strings and a Luthier in the Jacksonville, FL area.

Nina might be able to point you to a luthier. Why not post a Wanted ad, on the marketplace? That way, we could see what the strings & tuners look like.

Screws are pretty standard in size and thread pitch. You should try a good hardware store. Some of them have a little template where you can test your screw for size and pitch. If the perfect length isn't available, get one that is too long and buy a nut for it. Thread the nut on then cut it to length with a hack saw or electricians pliers. Removing the nut will straighten threads back out.

I hunted in many music store junk boxes looking for tuner screws before I discovered that many of them are 2-56 or 4-40, both standard sizes. Several others on this board have found them locally too. ToeBone's advice is correct - you may also have to touch up the threads with a small file. If the problem is the slot in the head, sometimes you can touch it up with a file to get it working. There's some good advice about all kinds of tuners here: http://www.frets.com/FRETSPages/Musician/GenMaint/Gears/GearTune/geartune1.html
Electronics supply stores are a good source for small screws too.
